Just a week after news of her divorce from Sam Asghari broke, Britney Spears has now been slammed by animal rights activists at PETA after sharing footage of her new dog on Instagram.
The new pooch isn’t the music star’s fifth dog, however, the Toxic singer came under fire for buying the pooch rather than adopting one.

Taking to her 42.1 million Instagram followers, Britney shared a video introducing fans to her new pet, Snow.
In the video, the tiny white puppy can be seen running around playfully on the bed, as Britney cuddles up to the adorable pooch, as he plays with a babies pacifier.
Comments have now been turned off on the post, however, in the caption, the singer wrote: “Introducing Snow … the new edition to the family … it’s her world and we just live in it.”
Although social media users can’t comment on the video, animal rights activists PETA have spoken on celebrity faces shopping rather than adopting.
Speaking to MailOnline, a Rep for PETA said: “When influential people buy puppies, puppy mills cheer and animal shelters watch the homeless-animal crisis get even worse.
“With this one cutesy post, Britney Spears has sentenced countless deserving dogs in shelters to more days without love, a comfy bed to curl up on, or a chance at a real life.”
The couple split custody of their dogs after divorce
Britney and Sam have five pooches between them, and TMZ reports that the couple have already come to a custody agreement between themselves.
The publication reports that the 29-year-old model has custody of Doberman, Porsha, who he bought as protection for Britney a couple of years ago.
It’s said the Circus singer has taken custody of the other four, Australian Shepherd, Sawyer, her Yorkie, Hannah, and two other smaller dogs.
