Hallmark Christmas Movie Drinking Game

Watching Hallmark Christmas movies is one of our most beloved holiday pastimes. There’s nothing better than avoiding the cold weather outside and cuddling up on the couch with Candace Cameron Bure, Kellie Pickler, Lacey Chabert, and the rest of our favorite stars. But there’s one way to make this winter tradition even more holly jolly!

In 2016, a Country Living reader named Brittany Graves from Fort Worth, Texas, blessed us all with the Hallmark Christmas Drinking Game, which consists of taking a swig from your Christmas cocktail anytime anything remotely Hallmark-y happens. Like when there’s mistletoe in a scene, for example, or someone is filled with holiday spirit.

If you want to partake in this Christmas drinking game, we’ve created a handy graphic of the rules inspired by her genius idea, so you can play it anytime you want.

“We invented a drinking game that works with any of them,” Brittany tells CountryLiving.com of her invention, which pairs with any of Hallmark’s films. “My hubby actually watches with me now—we’ve had so much fun with it!”

Pretty much any boozy beverage complements this Christmas game for adults, but we think something holiday-themed, like a cranberry gin fizz, eggnog, or other winter drink suits it best.

If you didn’t realize that Hallmark movies have already begun, don’t worry. The network is airing 41 new films this year, so there’s plenty of time to test out this drinking game before New Year's Eve. Bottoms up!
